Thanksgiving Weekend! Great news! We will have extended hours over the 3-day Thanksgiving weekend, opening at 10:30 and closing at 5:00 each of day. The tasting fee will be $10 to rent a glass and receive 6 tastes of your choice - little snacks included. We also hope to be showing off a Smart Car. Come by and check us out! |

New Releases!
We have five exciting new releases: 2007 Deuce (a cab/merlot blend); 2007 Syrah; 2007 lightly oaked Chardonnay; 2008 Semillon and 2008, Pinot Gris. Our friendly tasting room staff will be eager to show you the new line up.

Tasting Room Improvements
We've been working to improve the tasting room, and if you have not seen the new canopy over the tasting bar, you should come and take a look. You know that we like to reuse and recycle and this new use for old barrel staves is beautiful, functional and completely unique to Laurel Ridge. We also hope to have new lighting in the tasting room by Thanksgiving. Sometime in the very near future, we will also have The Board Room (my former downstairs office) that will be available for small gatherings and private tastings. We will keep you posted. |

Harvest is in the air
Well,
fall has descended upon us, as has harvest. We began receiving
grapes on September 15th and accepted the last load on October 28.
With the exception of one or two rainy days, it was a lovely harvest
- and bountiful. Laurel Ridge crushed about 280 TONS of fruit.
We made wine for ourselves, our two winemakers and about 10 other
clients. It was intense at times, and we had a couple minor
mishaps, but we came through pretty well for working flat out for
six weeks.

Weddings, Birthday or Anniversary
Update
We finished the current bridal season with several couples happily wandering off into the sunset. We have one wedding booked for next March and have shown the property to several prospective couples for next summer. The events go more smoothly each time we host them. Let us know if you have anything like a special birthday or anniversary that you want some help with. |
