Our Philosophy

Our philosophy at Laurel Ridge is still driven by our founder, David Teppola’s vision when he purchased the estate in 1974. David firmly believed that incredible wines come from incredible vineyards, and it is this belief is the principle by which we operate to this day.

It is our goal to farm and source the best fruit that Oregon has to offer, and to produce wines with minimal influence, in an effort to highlight and enhance the unique qualities of each varietal, clone and vineyard.

In order to create the best possible future for our winery and community, we take sustainability very seriously. Sustainable vineyard and wine making practices are something that the Teppolas are also very passionate about. It is the vision of both David and Susan to continuously work to enhance Laurel Ridge’s wine-making, and the Oregon Wine Industry with sustainable practices and infrastructure. We have worked towards this vision by installing solar panels on the estate, including two electric vehicle charging stations, completing a creekside restoration project to preserve water quality and habitat on our property and are currently in the process of becoming LIVE certified and salmon-safe as both a winery and vineyard.
