One of the things we treasure the most, is getting to know each new vintage of our favorite wines. Despite producing our Rosé from the same idyllic vines and using the same winemaking techniques every year, we still discover new and unique characteristics with each vintage. Our 2019 harvest for the Pinot Noir we use for our Rosé began earlier than usual due to a series of rainstorms that continued to roll into the Willamette Valley during harvest. We eventually were faced with harvesting early, or potentially risking the entire crop. Despite the fact that we were knowingly going to produce a more delicate wine, the result of the harvest decision turned out incredibly well. This vintage unfurls with more subtly, like a modern ballet, presenting an array of pure aromas with each swirl of the glass. We find enticing aromas of pink grapefruit, nectarine, and honeydew on the nose. The more cerebral quality of this wine continues on the palate with interesting characteristics of stone fruit, blood orange and mineral paired with a silky texture and dry, delicate finish.
Everything about our rosé is intentional. It is made from 100% Pinot Noir, pressed to perfection and fermented as a white – cool and slow in stainless steel.
Serve chilled. Enjoy now through 2021.
